Sanhua Food Retail Product Development

As the food retail industry moves increasingly toward eco-friendly refrigeration systems, Sanhua has taken a leadership approach in the development of valves and components to meet the new requirements.

This new product development comes at a time when supermarket, c-store and major warehouse retailers are converting to refrigeration systems utilizing R744 (CO2), R-290 (propane) and other lower-GWP (Global Warming Potential) alternatives such as R-454B.

In the past two years, Sanhua has introduced a flurry of new generation solenoid, expansion and control valves, display case controllers, as well as microchannel condensers and evaporators optimized for the changing refrigerant landscaped.

Major global manufacturers of CO2, R-290 and alternative refrigerant food cooling equipment are now working with Sanhua in the design, testing and installation of new systems throughout North America.

“Sanhua designs all valves and components to be high quality and ultra-reliable, which manufacturers and food retail refrigeration systems technicians demand,” said Sathish Jegan, Sanhua assistant head of Marketing & Strategy for North America. “The top food retail manufacturers choose Sanhua components for this very reason.”

The Sanhua PEV series electronic valves have captured the interest of many display case/cabinet manufacturers, specifically for its low noise level design. The Sanhua PEV is a pulse width modulation (PWM) type, with a serviceable body and maximum working pressure (MWP) up to 90 bar. Its high MWP makes it suitable for R744 (CO2) refrigerant, as well as R-290 and R32.

Another recent introduction from Sanhua is the full stainless steel RFGC series of thermostatic expansion valves for ice machine, heat pump and transportation refrigeration applications. With cooling capacities up to 4-tons in R290 systems, the bi-metal connection design allows for easy installation and servicing.

Sanhua has dozens of additional products designed for today’s new refrigerant transitions. To learn more: www.sanhuausa.com/products.
