Sanhua Opens Texas Technology Center in Houston
Leading global manufacturer of HVACR components announces grand opening, continued search for Americas Headquarters location
HOUSTON – Sanhua, a leading global manufacturer of HVACR components for residential, commercial and automotive air conditioning, will open the Sanhua Texas Technology Center (STTC) with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 15. Following the ribbon cutting, there will be opening remarks by Betty Russo, representing Governor Abbott, Cody Holder representing Commissioner Cagle, Gwen Tillotson representing Mayor Turner and the Sanhua Chief Science Officer (CSO), Dr Linjie Huang. Following the remarks, a tour of the facility will be provided. The Sanhua Texas Technology Center (STTC) and has an initial investment of $10 million USD into the greater Houston economy and employs 20-25 people from the local area.
Sanhua proudly selected Houston as the location for its North American Technology Center. “Houston was chosen following an exhaustive search of possible U.S. locations,” said CY Zheng, President, Sanhua North America. “We based this decision on the hospitality of the state and local government, the availability of a large pool of skilled local talent to fill our specialized staffing needs and the great transportation network here including the world-class international airport,” added Zheng.
With the next few years, Sanhua is planning additional investment in the U.S. including a North America Headquarters. “We look forward to working with Texas and Houston governments as we consider the site for our U.S. headquarters,” Zheng said. Houston is in the final list of cities being considered for the headquarters.
“Houston is a sought-after location for global firms seeking a location to establish their Americas headquarters,” said Horacio Licon, Vice President of International Investment and Trade for the Greater Houston Partnership. In 2017 alone, 41 foreign-owned firms opened or expanded operations in Houston, up from 25 the prior year. “The Partnership welcomes the announcement of the Sanhua Texas Technology Center and thanks the company for their investment in the Houston region.”
Sanhua manufactures thermostatic expansion valves, reversing valves, heat exchangers and coils, filters, receivers, suction accumulators, sight glasses, electronic controls, variable speed controls and any component found in an air conditioner with the exception of the compressor. Two-out-of-three heat pump air conditioners in the U.S. are equipped with a Sanhua reversing valve. One of four cars worldwide is equipped with a Sanhua expansion valve.

Green Tech Line for Natural Refrigerants Now Available
Sanhua International is delivering on its commitment to offer eco-friendly products with the North America introduction at the 2017 AHR Expo in Las Vegas of the Green Tech Line of refrigeration and air conditioning components, designed for use with natural refrigerants R290 (propane), R600a (isobutane) and R744 (CO2).
Recent mandates from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) are leading commercial refrigeration and air conditioning manufacturers to redesign product offerings for a greener future. Sanhua works closely with these world-class manufacturers by providing high quality, hydrocarbon and CO2 ready system components including valves, controllers, transducers, filter driers and micro-channel heat exchangers.
The Sanhua Green Tech Line for hydrocarbon refrigerant (R290/R600a) use includes electronic expansion valves, thermostatic expansion valves, reversing valves, check valves, ball valves and solenoid valves. Micro-channel heat exchangers, which help improve system efficiency, are available with both evaporator and condenser. Additional system components such as filter driers, pressure transducers and sight glasses round out the line.
And whether working with sub-critical or transcritical R744 applications, Sanhua’s Green Tech Line now offers manufacturers stainless steel ball valves and check valves, along with two series of electronic expansion valves designed for subcritical and transcritical applications.
Sanhua to Display Latest in Electronic Valve Technology at 2017 AHR Expo
Sanhua International will display the latest in electronic valve technology by showcasing its new HDF series solenoid valves and VPF series electronic expansion valves in Booth C1914 at the 2017 AHR Expo in Las Vegas.
The HDF series solenoid valves are piston type pilot operated and are designed for use in all air conditioning and refrigeration systems. HDF valves feature a hermetically sealed valve body with double-sealed coils for water tightness. Its unique click-on coil can be supplied with DIN connector, lead wires and/or junction box.
The VPF series electronic expansion valves feature a stainless-steel body, built-in strainer to protect from clogging, and bi-metal connections to ensure efficient brazing. Available in a capacity range of 12.5 to 400 tons, the VPF also offers an optional sight glass.
Sanhua has become a global leader in refrigerant system valve technology, and provides more than 40 million electronic and mechanical expansion valves to the HVACR and automotive industries yearly.

Boyajian Joins Sanhua Commercial Sales Team
Sanhua International announces that Jennifer Boyajian has joined the company as aftermarket sales manager on the North America Commercial Team.
Boyajian joins Sanhua from JB Industries, where she served the past four years as Director of Marketing. There she worked directly with both internal sales teams and rep agencies to promote and sell HVACR tools and equipment. Previously, she was a marketing manager for a leading customer relationship and data management software company.
She will be responsible for the design and execution of a comprehensive aftermarket sales strategy as Sanhua expands its new business development efforts in the wholesale channel. Boyajian is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor of science in Business.
Sanhua Reversing Valve Range Reaches New Heights
Sanhua International is expanding the range of its world leading four-way reversing valves with the introduction of two new models to the North America market covering 93- and 119-ton applications. The SHF series is now suitable for cooling capacities from 1 (one) to 119 tons (R410A, Condition 2).
SHF series four-way reversing valves are applicable for heat pump systems to switch between cooling mode and heating mode by changing the flow path of the refrigerant. Sanhua has been manufacturing reversing valves since 1990 and since its acquisition of the Ranco® reversing valves business in 2007 has become the world’s leading supplier of four-way valves.
Sanhua SHF(L) series valves provide nearly zero energy consumption with b-stable coils and have excellent anti-vibration performance because the pilot valve is fastened to the main valve by screws. Rick Rasch Joins Sanhua As Sales Engineer
Sanhua International announces that Rick Rasch has joined the company as a sales engineer on the North America Commercial Team.
Rasch joins Sanhua as a sales engineer based out of St. Louis, Mo. Rasch previously was with Tecumseh Products, where he served the past five years as a sales engineer covering wholesale and OEM accounts. Previously, he was a technician for the University of Missouri power plant.
Rick’s focus will be the support of Sanhua OEM commercial accounts in the central and eastern U.S. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering.
Sanhua International Announces AHRI Membership
Sanhua International is pleased to announce it has been accepted as a member of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), a trade association representing manufacturers of HVACR and water heating equipment within the global industry.
Sanhua has joined AHRI as an International Member and participant in the Flow and Contaminant Control Section.

Sanhua Announces New Sales, Marketing Appointments
Sanhua International announces the addition of a sales engineer and two marketing support personnel to its Commercial team. Brandon Stewart, Andy Schoen and Michael Smith have joined Sanhua and will support sales and marketing efforts in North and Central America.
Stewart joins Sanhua as a sales engineer based out of Atlanta, Ga. Stewart brings solid HVACR industry experience to his new role, having previously served as sales engineer at Tecumseh Products Company and product applications specialist at ABB/Thomas & Betts. Stewart’s focus will be the support of Sanhua OEM commercial accounts in the Southeast U.S. Stewart is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Schoen, an industry veteran and technical expert with more than 30 years of experience at Sporlan, Tecumseh Products and DunAn, holds an MBA from the University of Missouri and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa. In his role as Portfolio and Customer Services Manager, Schoen is responsible for managing product families and supporting Sanhua OEM and wholesale sales efforts.
Smith brings extensive global and regional brand and marketing management experience to his role as Marketing Communications Director, most recently with Tecumseh Products. He earned an M.A. degree (Management) from Webster University, St. Louis, Mo. and a B.A. (Journalism) from Central Michigan University. Smith will develop and manage tactical execution of marketing communications projects, project management and pricing administration.

----First trial production runs in Mexico factory
As the world's largest manufacturer of micro-channel heat exchanger, Sanhua MCHE follows the tendency of manufacturing migration in North American at its fastest rate. In the Q4 of 2014, Sanhua invested in Mexico decisively to further improve its global manufacturing layout.
On April 11th, 2015, the first 60 micro-channel condensers came off the assembly line and packaged in Sanhua Mexico, which represents the success of the first pilot production in MexicoFactory and a total monthly capacity of 13,000 unitsof micro-channel heat exchangers.
Thanks to the great support of Chairman Zhang and the top management from Sanhua Holding group, the project was able to be launched on March 2014 and soon the factory construction was done by September 2014.In December 2014 the first employees finished their training in R-Squared Puckett Inc., USA.
Once the main equipment was ready, the Factory immediately started the installation from February 2015. In order to expertise the installation and commissioning process, Sanhua technical engineers, production leaders and suppliers works very hard and completed the installation one week ahead of the original schedule to ensure that trial production runs smoothly.
The equipment for the second phase will be ready by September 2015 and by then Sanhua Mexico will be capable of producing both micro-channel condenser and evaporator and eventually have annual production capacity of 300Kunits of micro-channel heat exchangers.
The successful set-up of Sanhua MCHE Mexico Factory will be great enhancement to its global manufacturing footprint.
In March 2015, the second production line of R- Squared factory in USA has been in full operation reaching annual capacity of 350K units of MCHE. The global production capacity of Sanhua MCHE has exceeded 2 million and achieves the overall layout of capacity configuration in North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Sanhua’s Thermostatic Valve Passes EN 215 Certification
The thermostatic valve project team of Hangzhou Sanhua Research Institute (SRIC, a member of Sanhua Holding Group) announced that its thermostatic valve passed the EN 215 certification after 10 months of strict review and appraisal.
The EN 215 certification indicates that the whole process of thermostatic valve’s production and quality control are KeymarkTRV Directive compliant and satisfies the demand exerted by EN 215-2007 thermostatic radiator control valve’s testing standards. In November 2011, engineers from Germany came to SRIC for review and sampling. The product successfully completed the required tests in the WSPLab, Germany in December. On January 31, 2013, Din Certco of Germany issued the certificate, with universal certification number ‘ID80’ that officially certifies that this thermostatic valve is EU standards compliant and can be exported to EU countries.
The EN 215 certification is an honor to Sanhua’s brand. It will help the company set up effective product development and management process system, and enhance the corporate image and market competitiveness.
